An interest in documenting social dynamics and relationships in my work led to this group portrait of students. The original material was taken during a meeting planning their end of term show.
It’s painted white to investigate how a piece fits in it’s environment as well as the level of protagonist it has. The white pieces are much more subtle and the viewer has to work more for it’s appreciation, the role of the shadows also becomes more important.
